शकेम त्वा समिधं साधया धियस्त्वे देवा हविरदन्त्याहुतम् । त्वमादित्याँ आ वह तान्ह्युश्मस्यग्ने सख्ये मा रिषामा वयं तव ॥
śakéma tvā samídhaṃ sādháyā dhíyas tve devā́ havír adanty ā́hutam | tvám ādityā́m̐ ā́ vaha tā́n hí uśmásy ágne sakhyé mā́ riṣāmā vayáṃ táva ||
Mögen wir die Kraft haben, dich zu entfachen, o Samidh, und unsere Gedanken zum Gelingen zu führen; in dir genießen die Götter das dargebrachte Havi, das ausgegossen ist. Du bringe die Ādityas herbei — denn nach ihnen verlangen wir. O Agni, in deiner Freundschaft mögen wir keinen Schaden leiden; mögen wir sicher sein unter deiner Macht.
