अत्रा ते रूपमुत्तममपश्यं जिगीषमाणमिष आ पदे गोः । यदा ते मर्तो अनु भोगमानळादिद्ग्रसिष्ठ ओषधीरजीगः ॥

Transliteration

átrā te rūpám uttamám apaśyaṃ jígīṣamāṇam iṣá ā padé góḥ | yadā́ te márto ánu bhógam ānáḷ ād íd grásiṣṭha óṣadhīr ajīgaḥ ||

Translation

Hier sah ich deine höchste Gestalt: siegend begehrend, gelangend zur Stufe der Go (des Strahls), wo die Nahrung ist. Wenn der Sterbliche dem Genuss nachgeht ohne die Wahrheit des Pfades, dann wird er, o Allverschlingender, wahrlich dazu getrieben, die Oṣadhis, die Kräuter, zu verzehren – sich von niedrigerem Wuchs zu nähren.
