Bearing Mountain
ततोवृद्धमुपागम्यनियमेनाभ्यवादयत् ।गृह्यजाम्बवतःपादौहनूमान्मारुतात्मजः ।।6.74.24।।
tato vṛddham upāgamya niyamena abhyavādayat |
gṛhya jāmbavataḥ pādau hanūmān mārutātmajaḥ ||6.74.24||
Darauf trat Hanumān, der Sohn des Windgottes, zu dem betagten Jāmbavān; der rechten Sitte folgend, umfasste er dessen Füße und grüßte ihn ehrerbietig.
Thereafter, Hanuman the son of the wind god coming close to the aged Jambavan clasped his feet in accordance with tradition and greeted him.
Maryādā-dharma: honoring elders and leaders through prescribed respectful conduct, even amid war and urgency.
Hanumān comes to Jāmbavān during the crisis, formally paying respect before receiving instructions for the next mission.
Hanumān’s humility and discipline—power joined with reverence and self-restraint.
