The Slaying of Kumbhakarna

Als Kumbhakarṇa den Affenkönig heranstürmen sah, blieb er ihm gegenüber stehen, den ganzen Leib gestrafft und zum Zusammenprall bereit.
Kumbhakarna, looking at the monkey Lord advancing towards him, stood in front of all limbs braced.
It presents the disciplined aspect of combat—meeting an opponent directly and preparing oneself—an element of yuddha-dharma even amid a larger unrighteous war.
Kumbhakarṇa sees Sugrīva charging and squares up, readying his body to receive or counter the attack.
Steadfastness and readiness (dhairya): standing firm in the face of an incoming assault.
