«O König, zu welchem Zweck hast du mich mit solcher Dringlichkeit geweckt? Sage: welche Furcht ist hier in dir aufgestiegen, und wer soll heute tot zu Boden fallen?»
Kumbhakarna, was overcome with anger, and asked his brother Ravana, who was seated and rolling his eyes in anger.
Dharma begins with truthful inquiry and clarity of purpose: before acting, one asks what the real danger is and who is truly at stake, rather than moving blindly.
Kumbhakarṇa, newly awakened, questions Rāvaṇa about the reason for the urgent summons and the fear driving it.
Directness and demand for truth (satya-pradhāna vākya): Kumbhakarṇa insists on knowing the cause before proceeding.
