O du Mächtigarmer, nachdem du Rāvaṇas Worte gehört hast, erwäge gründlich ihre Vorzüge und ihre Fehler; erst dann wirst du die Feinde in der Schlacht besiegen.
"O Mighty Armed One! You hear from Ravana the advantages and disadvantages and thereafter assess the enemy to conquer."
Dharma here is prudent discernment: one should evaluate merits and faults (guṇa–doṣa) before acting, especially in war where rashness causes adharma and ruin.
Rāvaṇa’s side is preparing for battle; Kumbhakarṇa is being urged to act after considering Rāvaṇa’s words and the situation wisely.
Viveka (discernment) and strategic restraint—victory is linked to thoughtful judgment, not mere strength.
