The Slaying of Prahasta
Dhurmukha monkey uprooting a huge tree holding it in hand killed the Rakshasa Samunnata.
The verse reflects kṣātra-dharma in wartime: courage and decisive action in defense of a righteous cause (protecting Rāma’s mission and allies).
During the fierce battle at Laṅkā, Durmukha recovers and immediately returns to combat, killing the rākṣasa Samunnata with an uprooted tree.
Vīrya (valor) and dhṛti (resilience)—he rises again and continues fighting effectively.
