Garuda’s Arrival and the Release from the Serpent-Arrow Bond
असुरावामहावीर्यावानरावामहाबलाः ।सुराश्चापिसगन्ध्वर्वाःपुरस्कृत्यशतक्रतुम् ।।6.50.47।।नेमंमोक्षयितुंशक्ताश्शरबन्धंसुदारुणम् ।मायाबलादिन्द्रजितानिर्मितंक्रूरकर्मणा ।।6.50.48।।
asurā vā mahāvīryā vānarā vā mahābalāḥ |
surāś cāpi sagandharvāḥ puraskṛtya śatakratum ||6.50.47||
Selbst die Asuras von großer Heldenkraft, selbst die Vānara von gewaltiger Stärke, ja selbst die Devas samt den Gandharvas—auch wenn Śatakratu (Indra) sie anführt—(würden diese Fessel als furchtbar empfinden).
"For the demons endowed with great strength and of mighty valour or for Gandharvas, or Vanaras or for even Devatas, or Indra who has done a hundred sacrifices, it is not possible to get relieved from bondage of the arrows of Indrajith of cruel deeds carried out by tricks."
Dharma includes realism and humility: even great powers can be checked by adharma-driven deception, so one must seek rightful remedies rather than pride in strength.
Garuḍa emphasizes the severity of the serpent-arrow bondage by stating that even the greatest cosmic and martial forces would regard it as difficult to undo.
Discernment—recognizing the extraordinary nature of the threat (māyā) and responding appropriately.
