वानर-ऋक्ष-सेना-प्रशंसा

वातेनेवोद्धतंमेघंयमेनमनुपश्यसि ।अनीकमभिसंरब्धंवानराणांतरस्विनाम् ।।6.27.30।।उद्दूतमरुणाभासंपवनेनसमन्ततः ।विवर्तमानंबहुधायत्रैतद्बहुळंरजः ।।6.27.31।।

ete 'sitamukhā ghorā golāṅgūlā mahābalāḥ |

śataṃ śatasahasrāṇi dṛṣṭvā vai setubandhanam || 6.27.32 ||

golāṅgūlaṃ mahāvegaṃ gavākṣaṃ nāma yūdhapam |

parivāryābhivartante laṅkāṃ marditum ojasā || 6.27.33 ||

Diese furchterregenden Golāṅgūla, schwarzgesichtig, mit schwanzgleich einer Kuh, von großer Kraft, zu Hunderttausenden—als sie den erbauten Damm erblicken—umringen den schnellen Truppenführer namens Gavākṣa, selbst ein Golāṅgūla, und rücken mit Macht vor, um Laṅkā zu zermalmen.
