The Pacification of the Ocean and the Building of Nala’s Bridge

"O Rama! I shall arrange a base in such a mode, by means of which the entire army of Vanaras can cross over the passage and I will also be seizing the poisonous animals and not be aggressive."
Dharma includes responsible accommodation: without overturning cosmic order, the Ocean offers a righteous compromise—protecting the vulnerable and enabling a just mission.
The Ocean proposes practical assistance to Rāma: it will pacify dangerous sea-creatures so the vānara army can cross safely.
Benevolence and cooperation: the Ocean moves from refusal to constructive support, aligning help with lawful limits.
