तथ्यतद्वचनंश्रुत्वारामोवचनमब्रवीत् ।।6.19.6।।वचसासान्त्वयित्वैनंलोचनाभ्यांपिबन्निव ।आख्याहिममतत्त्वेनराक्षसानांबलाबलम् ।।6.19.7।।

Transliteration

tathyaṃ tadvacanaṃ śrutvā rāmo vacanam abravīt ||6.19.6||

vacasā sāntvayitvā enaṃ locanābhyāṃ pibann iva |

ākhyāhi mama tattvena rākṣasānāṃ balābalam ||6.19.7||

Translation

Als Rāma jene wahrhaftigen Worte vernahm, erwiderte er. Ihn mit sanfter Rede tröstend und ihn anblickend, als tränke er ihn mit den Augen, sprach er: „Künde mir wahrhaft die Stärke und Schwäche der Rākṣasas.“
