Vibhīṣaṇa’s Arrival and the Debate on Refuge
नवादान्नपिसङ्घर्षान्नाधिक्यान्नचकामतः ।वक्ष्यामिवचनंराजन्यथार्थंरामगौरवात् ।।6.17.52।।
na vādān napi saṅgharṣān nādhikyān na ca kāmataḥ | vakṣyāmi vacanaṃ rājan yathārthaṃ rāmagauravāt || 6.17.52 ||
O König, ich werde die Wahrheit sprechen: nicht aus Streitlust, nicht um Zwietracht zu entfachen, nicht aus Überlegenheitsstolz und nicht aus persönlichem Begehren, sondern aus Ehrfurcht vor Rāma.

Truthful speech must be free of ego and hostility: dharma is to speak satya for the common good, not to win arguments or assert dominance.
