इन्द्रवरदानम् / Indra Grants Boons: Restoration of the Vanara Host
भ्रारातरंभरतंपश्यत्वच्छोकाद्व्रतचारिणम् ।।।।शत्रुघ्नं च महात्मानंमात्रूःसर्वाःपरन्तप ।अभिषेचयचात्मानंपौरान्गत्वाप्रहर्षय ।।।।
bhrātaraṃ bharataṃ paśya tvacchokād vratacāriṇam | śatrughnaṃ ca mahātmānaṃ mātṝḥ sarvāḥ parantapa | abhiṣecaya cātmānaṃ paurān gatvā praharṣaya ||
O Bezwinger der Feinde, sieh deinen Bruder Bharata, der sein Gelübde hält und aus Kummer um dich dahinschwindet; sieh auch den großherzigen Śatrughna und all deine Mütter. Nimm die königliche Weihe an und, zu den Bürgern gelangt, erfreue sie.
Then the huge army protected by Rama and Lakshmana, were delighted and causing splendour all over. Rāja-dharma: the king must restore social order, honor family obligations, and bring joy and stability to the citizens through rightful consecration.
With the war concluded, Rāma is urged to reunite with family, see Bharata’s long vow-filled suffering, and proceed toward coronation and public reassurance.
Bharata’s steadfastness (vrata) and Rāma’s duty to heal familial and civic grief through rightful rule.
