Public Opinion and Royal Duty
विभीषणस्य च तथासफलोऽद्यपरिश्रमः ।विगुणंभ्रातरंत्यक्त्वायोमांस्वयमुपस्थितः ।।6.118.9।।
vibhīṣaṇasya ca tathā saphalo ’dya pariśramaḥ |
viguṇaṁ bhrātaraṁ tyaktvā yo māṁ svayam upasthitaḥ ||6.118.9||
Ebenso hat sich Vibhīṣaṇas Mühe heute als fruchtbar erwiesen: Er, der den tugendlosen Bruder verließ, kam aus eigenem Antrieb zu mir.
