सीतासमीपगमनम् / Sītā Brought Near to Rāma
Public Witness and Protocol
ततस्सीतांमहाभागांदृष्टवोवाचविभीषणः ।मूर्ध्निबद्धाञ्जलिश्रीमान्विनीतोराक्षसेश्वरः ।।।।
tataḥ sītāṃ mahābhāgāṃ dṛṣṭvovāca vibhīṣaṇaḥ | mūrdhni baddhāñjaliḥ śrīmān vinīto rākṣaseśvaraḥ ||
Da erblickte Vibhīṣaṇa, der ruhmreiche Herr der Rākṣasas, die edle Sītā und sprach demütig; mit gefalteten Händen, bis zum Haupt erhoben, erwies er ehrfürchtige Verehrung.
Then Vibheeshana, the prosperous Lord of the Rakshasas seeing Sita greeted her with palms joined together lifted it over his head (as a sign of respect).
