Aditya Hridayam Upadeśa — Agastya’s Instruction to Rāma
जयायजयभद्रायहर्यश्वायनमोनमः ।नमोनमस्सहस्रांशोआदित्यायनमोनमः ।।6.107.17।।
jayāya jayabhadrāya haryaśvāya namo namaḥ |
namo namas sahasrāṃśo ādityāya namo namaḥ || 6.107.17 ||
Ehre, Ehre dir, der du den Sieg und das glückverheißende Gute aus dem Sieg gewährst; Ehre, Ehre dir mit den grünen Rossen. Ehre, Ehre dir, dem Tausendstrahligen — Āditya, Ehre, Ehre.
"Namaskar, Namaskar to the giver of victory, joy born of victory, god having green horses. Hail to you Aditya.
Victory is framed as dharmic, not merely martial: triumph is sought as ‘auspicious good’ that restores truth and order.
Agastya concludes this segment of praise with repeated salutations to Sūrya as bestower of victory before Rāma re-engages the battle.
Purposeful courage: seeking victory for the sake of satya and restoration of dharma, not for pride.
