अवसीदन्तिगात्राणिस्वप्नयानेनृणामिव ।चिन्तामेवर्ततेतीव्रामुमूर्षापि च जायते ।।।।
avasīdanti gātrāṇi svapnayāne nṛṇām iva |
cintām evartate tīvrā mumūrṣāpi ca jāyate ||
Meine Glieder geben nach, als ob ich mich in einem Traum bewegte; nur heftige Angst wallt in mir auf, und sogar der Wunsch zu sterben entsteht.
" A victim of your arrow can not be alive just as an elephant fallen into the clutch of a roaring lion with sharp teeth is not possible to live."
The verse exposes the moral cost of violence and loss: dharma is not performed without inner suffering; righteous action still encounters grief.
Rāma reacts physically and mentally to Lakṣmaṇa’s condition, describing dreamlike weakness and overpowering distress.
