Lakshmana’s Revival by the Herb-Mountain
तस्यबुद्धि: समुत्पन्नामारुतेरमितौजसः ।।।।इदमेवगमिष्यामिगृहीत्वाशिखरंगिरेः ।
tasya buddhiḥ samutpannā māruter amitojasaḥ |
idam eva gamiṣyāmi gṛhītvā śikharaṃ gireḥ ||
Da erwachte in Hanumān, dem Sohn des Windes von grenzenloser Kraft, ein fester Entschluss: „Sogleich will ich gehen und den Gipfel des Berges selbst mitnehmen.“
By reasoning it is known that the herb which is good for him is grown in this peak, for Sushena said so.
Dharma is expressed as decisive service: when the righteous goal is saving a life, one chooses the most effective action rather than hesitating over uncertainty.
Hanuman needs a life-saving herb but cannot identify it with certainty, so he resolves to bring the entire peak where the herbs grow.
Pragmatic wisdom joined with courage—Hanuman chooses a solution that guarantees success under time pressure.
