Da schien jene von Rāvaṇa bewachte Gemach, gleich einer Mutter, die fünf Sinne mit fünf erlesenen Gegenständen des Genusses zu sättigen.
The chamber of Ravana, like a mother, gratified all the five senses of Hanuman with proper objects of the senses.
Dharma involves mastery over the senses: true righteousness is not to be ‘mothered’ by pleasures, but to remain truthful to one’s vow and purpose.
As Hanumān observes Rāvaṇa’s chambers, the text notes how perfectly they cater to sensory enjoyment.
Self-restraint—resisting an environment designed to gratify every sense.
