ततस्तास्सहितास्सर्वा निहताशा निरुद्यमाः।।।।परिक्षिप्य समन्तात्तां निद्रावशमुपागताः।

Transliteration

tatas tāḥ sahitāḥ sarvā nihatāśā nirudyamāḥ | parikṣipya samantāt tāṃ nidrāvaśam upāgatāḥ ||

Translation

Da breiteten sich alle zusammen—der Hoffnung beraubt und des Bemühens müde—rings um sie her aus und fielen von allen Seiten der Macht des Schlafes anheim.
