Destruction of the Chaitya Palace and Hanuman’s Proclamation
ईदृग्विधैस्तु हरिभिर्वृतो दन्तनखायुधैः।शतैश्शतसहस्रैश्च कोटीभिरयुतैरपि।।।।आगमिष्यति सुग्रीवः सर्वेषां वो निषूदनः।
īdṛg-vidhais tu haribhir vṛto danta-nakhāyudhaiḥ |
śataiḥ śata-sahasraiś ca koṭībhir ayutair api ||5.43.24||
āgamiṣyati sugrīvaḥ sarveṣāṃ vo niṣūdanaḥ |
Umschlossen von solchen Affen, die mit Zähnen und Klauen als Waffen kämpfen—zu Hunderten, zu Hunderttausenden, zu Krores und selbst zu Zehntausenden—wird Sugrīva kommen, der Vernichter von euch allen.
Having slain the kinkaras, Hanuman stood and reflected, ' I have ruined the garden and not the palatial buildings that are like temples (Chaityas)'. Then Hanuman, son of the Windgod, decided in his mind to show his strength and jumped on to the top of the palatial building that appeared like the peak of mount Meru.
Consequences of adharma: oppressive power is not permanent; when dharma mobilizes, it arrives with overwhelming collective force.
Hanumān escalates the warning, describing the enormous scale of Sugrīva’s approaching army.
Dūta-dharma (envoy’s duty): delivering a clear, forceful message to avert further wrongdoing.
