अशोकवनिकायां सीतादर्शनम्

पीतं कनकपट्टाभं स्रस्तं तद्वसनं शुभम्।उत्तरीयं नगासक्तं तदा दृष्टं प्लवङ्गमैः।।।।
pītaṃ kanakapaṭṭābhaṃ srastaṃ tad vasanaṃ śubham |
uttarīyaṃ nagāsaktaṃ tadā dṛṣṭaṃ plavaṅgamaiḥ ||
„Jenes glückverheißende Obergewand—gelb, glänzend wie goldenes Tuch—war herabgerutscht; und als es sich an einem Baum verfing, sahen es die Affen dort.“
