Transliteration

idaṃ maharṣibhir dṛṣṭaṃ niryāṇam iti me matiḥ |

samyag āpaḥ pravekṣyāmi na cet paśyāmi jānakīm ||

Translation

Dies, so meine ich, ist der von großen Rishis geschau­te Weg des Abschieds aus dem Leben: Ich werde in die Wasser treten und mein Leben beenden, wenn ich Jānakī nicht erblicke.
