मैत्रीप्रतिज्ञा-वैरकारणप्रश्नः
Friendship Vow and Inquiry into the Cause of Enmity
सर्वथाऽहमनुग्राह्यो देवतानां न संशयः।उपपन्न गुणोपेतस्सखा यस्य भवान्मम।।
sarvathā ’ham anugrāhyo devatānāṃ na saṃśayaḥ | upapanna-guṇopetaḥ sakhā yasya bhavān mama ||
In jeder Hinsicht bin ich des Wohlwollens der Götter würdig geworden — daran besteht kein Zweifel —, denn du, mit passenden Tugenden ausgestattet, bist mein Freund geworden.
'Since one like you endowed with all virtues has become my friend I am (now) worthy of grace of the gods in all respects. There is no doubt.
