tatra tat-kopajaṃ tejaḥ kṛtaṃ haya-mukhaṃ mahat || 4.40.47 ||

asyāhus tan-mahā-vegam odanaṃ sa-carācaram |

Translation

Dort nahm eine große, lodernde Macht, aus Zorn geboren, die Gestalt des gewaltigen Hayamukha an; man sagt, für ihn werden alle Wesen, bewegte wie unbewegte, zur Speise, getrieben von seiner ungeheuren Wucht.
