Mobilization and Counsel on Kingship
ते त्वामभिगमिष्यन्ति राक्षसं ये सबान्धवम्।निहत्य रावणं सख्ये ह्यानयिष्यन्ति मैथिलीम्।।4.38.33।।
te tvām abhigamiṣyanti rākṣasaṃ ye sabāndhavam | nihatya rāvaṇaṃ saṅkhye hy ānayiṣyanti maithilīm ||4.38.33||
Sie werden zu dir kommen—jene, die, nachdem sie im Kampf den Rākṣasa Rāvaṇa samt seinen Verwandten erschlagen haben, Maithilī zurückbringen werden.
Hearing the gentle words of Lakshmana, spoken lovingly in that manner and asking him to come along with him, Sugriva was highly pleased.He agreed to go with him and said, 'As you please. I abide by your command'.
Dharma is the restoration of justice: defeating the oppressor (Rāvaṇa) and recovering the wronged person (Sītā) is framed as a righteous obligation carried out through loyal alliance.
Sugrīva promises that capable Vānara warriors will arrive who can defeat Rāvaṇa in war and reunite Sītā with Rāma.
Sugrīva’s fidelity to friendship (sakhya) and Rāma’s commitment to protect and reclaim Sītā through righteous means.
