The Monsoon Description and Rama’s Counsel on Timing
अङ्गारचूर्णोत्करसन्निकाशैःफलैस्सुपर्याप्तरसैस्समृद्धैः।जम्बूद्रुमाणां प्रविभान्ति शाखाःनिलीयमाना इव षट्पदौघैः।।
aṅgāracūrṇotkarasannikāśaiḥ phalaiḥ suparyāptarasaiḥ samṛddhaiḥ | jambūdrumāṇāṃ pravibhānti śākhāḥ nilīyamānā iva ṣaṭpadaughaiḥ ||
Die Zweige der Jambū-Bäume leuchten, beladen mit reichen, saftvollen Früchten, dunkel wie Häufungen von Kohlenstaub, als wären sie von sich niederlassenden Bienenschwärmen überzogen.
'The branches of jambu trees profusely filled with fruits appear like piled up balls of charcoal, while swarms of bees rest on the branches on the jambu trees.
Abundance attracts many; dharma is to use prosperity rightly—without greed or harm—just as nature’s plenty becomes a shared field of activity.
Lakṣmaṇa continues the monsoon tableau, showing ripening fruit and increased activity in the forest around Kishkindhā.
Non-attachment (asakti) amid plenty: the image reminds one to value resources without losing moral direction.
