सुग्रीवस्य वैरानुकथनम्
Sugriva’s Account of Enmity and Appeal to Rama
तेनाहमपविद्धश्च हृतदारश्च राघव।तद्भयाच्छ महीकृत्स्ना क्रान्तेयं सवनार्णवा।।
tenāham apaviddhaś ca hṛtadāraś ca rāghava | tadbhayāc ca mahīkṛtsnā krānteyaṃ savanārṇavā ||
Seinetwegen, o Rāghava, bin ich verstoßen und meiner Gattin beraubt; und aus Furcht vor ihm bin ich über diese ganze Erde gewandert, waldreich und von Ozeanen umgrenzt.
'O Rama! my wife has been usurped. There is the fear of his attack. So I am roaming this entire earth, covered with forests and oceans.
