Gesegnet bin ich, reich begnadet, o erhabenster der Weisen; denn du, o Gerechter, bist zu meinem Yajña gekommen, begleitet von den Sprossen Kakutsthas — Rāma und Lakṣmaṇa.
"O Righteous one! O Pre-eminent among ascetics! you have come to my sacrifice accompanied by the descendants of Kakustha (Rama and Lakshmana). I am blessed by your presence and am highly favoured.
Dharma includes gratitude and honouring the holy: Janaka considers a sage’s visit to a yajña a mark of divine grace and responds with truthful appreciation.
Janaka begins his address to Viśvāmitra, expressing how fortunate he feels that the sage has come to his sacrifice with Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa.
Janaka’s humility and gratitude—recognizing spiritual presence as a blessing rather than a mere formality.
