My decision to go to the forest remains unchanged. O bestower of boons, O king! honour to the last word the boons you had granted Kaikeyi. And adhere to truth.
Satya as dharma: Rāma insists that the king must remain truthful by fully honoring the promised boons, even when the outcome is personally painful.
Rāma declares his decision for exile unchangeable and urges Daśaratha to fulfill Kaikeyī’s boons completely, preserving the sanctity of the royal promise.
Rāma’s unwavering adherence to truth and maryādā (moral propriety), prioritizing the integrity of the father’s word over his own kingship.
