ते चापि पौरा नृपतेर्वचस्तच्छृत्वा तथा लाभमिवेष्टमाशु।नरेन्द्रमामन्त्र्य गृहाणि गत्वादेवान्समानर्चुरतिप्रहृष्टाः।।।।
te cāpi paurā nṛpater vacas tac chrutvā tathā lābham iveṣṭam āśu |
narendram āmantrya gṛhāṇi gatvā devān samānarcur atiprahṛṣṭāḥ ||
Auch die Bürger, als sie die Worte des Königs hörten, empfanden es wie einen ersehnten Gewinn. Sie nahmen Abschied vom Herrscher, gingen eilends in ihre Häuser und verehrten, überaus erfreut, die Götter.
On hearing such pronouncement by the king, the citizens also felt they have got something beneficial for themselves. They took leave of the king (Dasaratha) and hastening home, full of joy, began worshipping their gods.इत्यार्षे श्रीमद्रामायणे वाल्मीकीय आदिकाव्ये अयोध्याकाण्डे तृतीयस्सर्गः।।Thus ends the third sarga of Ayodhyakanda of the holy Ramayana, the first epic composed by sage Valmiki.
