सीताया वनगमननिश्चयः
Sita’s Resolve to Accompany Rama to the Forest
फलमूलाशना नित्यं भविष्यामि न संशयः ।
न त्वां दुःखयिष्यामि निर्विशन्ती सह त्वया ॥
phalamūlāśanā nityaṃ bhaviṣyāmi na saṃśayaḥ |
na tvāṃ duḥkhayiṣyāmi nirviśantī saha tvayā ||
Von Wurzeln und Früchten werde ich stets leben, daran besteht kein Zweifel. Und solange ich mit dir wohne, werde ich dir weder Kummer noch Leid bereiten.
Sita assures Rama that she will adopt the ascetic diet of roots and fruits (phalamūlāśanā) and promises that her presence will not be a source of grief or burden to him.
