उपस्थितैरञ्जलिकारकैश्चसोपायनैर्जानपदैर्जनैश्च।कोट्या परार्धैश्च विमुक्तयानैःसमाकुलं द्वारपथं ददर्श।।2.15.46।।

upasthitair añjalikārakaiś ca sopāyanaiḥ jānapadair janaiś ca |

koṭyā parārdhaiś ca vimuktayānaiḥ samākulaṃ dvārapathaṃ dadarśa || 2.15.46 ||

Er sah den Weg zum Tor dicht gedrängt von Menschen—Dorfbewohnern und Städtern in unzähligen Scharen—einige waren von ihren Wagen abgestiegen, andere standen mit gefalteten Händen in Ehrfurcht, und wieder andere kamen mit Gaben in den Händen.
