Our righteous father and lord of the earth, Dasaratha, attained heaven by givingabundant charities and performing several sacrifices in accordance with tradition.
Faith in moral causality: righteous life and properly performed duties lead to auspicious ends; thus one should honor the departed without despair.
Bharata reassures Rāma regarding Daśaratha’s destiny, grounding consolation in Daśaratha’s dharmic kingship and sacrificial duties.
Reverence and moral clarity—Bharata highlights Daśaratha’s merit to guide Rāma toward acceptance and continued duty.
