क्रोधागारप्रवेशः — Entry into the Chamber of Wrath

Kaikeyī’s Protest

तथोक्ता सा समाश्वस्ता वक्तुकामा तदप्रियम्।।।।परिपीडयितुं भूयो भर्तारमुपचक्रमे।

tathoktā sā samāśvastā vaktukāmā tad apriyam | paripīḍayituṃ bhūyo bhartāram upacakrame ||

So angesprochen, fühlte sie sich beruhigt; doch, im Verlangen, jene unerfreuliche Forderung auszusprechen, machte sie sich daran, ihren Gemahl abermals noch mehr zu bedrängen.

Thus spoken to, she (Kaikeyi) breathed a sigh of relief. Intending to tell him the unpleasant thing (which was in her mind), she began tormenting her husband all the more.ityārṣē śrīmadrāmāyaṇē vālmīkīya ādikāvyē ayōdhyākāṇḍē daśamassargaḥ৷৷Thus ends the tenth sarga of Ayodhyakanda of the holy Ramayana, the first epic composed by sage Valmiki.
