Look at the seven seas, which have reached here at their mere thought as they could not reach them due to fatigue from fasting.
Dharma highlights mastery over desire and endurance in vows (fasting): disciplined living can yield extraordinary capacities, but it is rooted in restraint and purpose.
Śabarī describes marvels associated with the sages’ austerities, claiming even the distant seas responded to their mental resolve.
Austerity and steadfastness: the sages’ self-control is portrayed as so intense that nature itself becomes responsive.
