व्यतिक्रम्य तु वेगेन व्यालसिंहनिषेवितम्।सुभीमं तन्महारण्यं व्यतियातौ महाबलौ।।।।

Transliteration

vyatikramya tu vegena vyālasiṃhaniṣevitam |

subhīmaṃ tanmahāraṇyaṃ vyatiyātau mahābalau ||

Translation

Die beiden mächtigen Brüder drangen eilends voran und bahnten sich ihren Weg durch jenen großen Wald—schrecklich, von Schlangen und Löwen aufgesucht.
