आसाद्य तौ नरव्याघ्रौ दर्यास्तस्याविदूरतः।ददृशाते महारूपां राक्षसीं विकृताननाम्।।।।

Transliteration

āsādya tau naravyāghrau daryās tasyā avidūrataḥ |

dadṛśāte mahārūpāṃ rākṣasīṃ vikṛtānanām ||

Translation

Als jene beiden, tigerhaften Männer, die Höhle erreichten, sahen sie unweit davon eine Rākṣasī von riesenhafter Gestalt, mit entstelltem, groteskem Antlitz.
