Having known from Jatayu the story of his beloved Sita, Rama was full of tears, his grief redoubled.
Dharma acknowledges humane emotion: righteousness is not emotional numbness; Rāma’s tears show moral sensitivity and deep fidelity to relationship and duty.
After hearing Jatāyu’s report about Sītā, Rāma is overwhelmed; the confirmation of her abduction intensifies his suffering.
Rāma’s prema-bhāva (steadfast love) and karuṇā (tenderness) are foregrounded.
