एतद्विधानं परमं पुराणं वेदागमे सम्यगिहोदितं वः । पुरा महर्षिप्रवराभिपृष्टः स्वायंभुवो यन्मनुराह देवः

etadvidhānaṃ paramaṃ purāṇaṃ vedāgame samyagihoditaṃ vaḥ | purā maharṣipravarābhipṛṣṭaḥ svāyaṃbhuvo yanmanurāha devaḥ

Dieses höchste Purāṇa samt seinen Vorschriften ist euch hier in rechter Weise gemäß Veda und heiliger Überlieferung verkündet worden—dasselbe, welches einst der göttliche Svāyambhuva Manu sprach, als ihn die Vorzüglichsten unter den großen Weisen befragten.
