The Greatness of the Kāliṇdī (Yamunā): Merit of Bathing, Charity, and Faith

नृणां जन्मांतराभ्यासात्कालिंदी मज्जने मतिः । अध्यात्मज्ञानकौशल्यं जन्माभ्यासाद्यथा नृप

nṛṇāṃ janmāṃtarābhyāsātkāliṃdī majjane matiḥ | adhyātmajñānakauśalyaṃ janmābhyāsādyathā nṛpa

O König, durch Übung, die aus früheren Geburten herübergetragen ist, entsteht bei den Menschen die Neigung, in der Kāliṇdī (Yamunā) zu baden; ebenso erwächst die Fertigkeit im geistigen Wissen aus wiederholter Pflege über viele Leben.
