FAQs

It equates dwelling in Kurukṣetra with dwelling in Triviṣṭapa (heaven), praising Kurukṣetra as a supremely meritorious sacred region.

Triviṣṭapa is a common Purāṇic term for heaven; the verse uses it to express that residence in Kurukṣetra yields heavenly status or merit.

It implies tīrtha-sevā and kṣetra-vāsa—seeking sanctity through living in (or going to) a holy kṣetra, here Kurukṣetra, as a means of accruing puṇya.
