Kumāra (Skanda/Kārttikeya)

FAQs

It prescribes offering auspicious gold (dāna) and performing a ghee-bath (ghṛta-abhiṣeka) for the deity, followed by reverent worship of Kumāra.

Kumāra commonly denotes Skanda/Kārttikeya, a widely worshiped divine figure associated with valor and divine leadership, here presented as the focus of ritual honor.

It emphasizes sacred giving and disciplined ritual devotion—linking generosity (dāna) with careful worship (pūjā) at a tīrtha as a meritorious religious act.
