FAQs

Attachment to fleshly foods (fish/meat), habitual lying, and persistent inner vices—lust, greed, anger, and pride—are presented as signs of moral degradation.

It criticizes delighting in fish and meat as part of a broader pattern of indulgence and vice; by itself it functions more as a moral characterization than a standalone dietary rule.

Truthfulness and restraint are implied virtues: reducing indulgence and uprooting lust, greed, anger, and pride is portrayed as essential for living in dharma.
