व्यास उवाच । श्रुत्वा महेश्वराद्वाक्यं देवाः शक्रपुरोगमाः । दुद्रुवुर्दैत्यसंघांस्तान्सर्वे सर्वान्समंततः

vyāsa uvāca | śrutvā maheśvarādvākyaṃ devāḥ śakrapurogamāḥ | dudruvurdaityasaṃghāṃstānsarve sarvānsamaṃtataḥ

Vyāsa sprach: Als die Devas die Worte Maheśvaras vernommen hatten, stürmten sie alle—angeführt von Śakra (Indra)—hervor und griffen jene Scharen der Dāityas von allen Seiten an.
