अग्निना दह्यते तूलं तृणं शुष्कं क्षणाद्यथा । तथा गंगाजलस्पर्शात्पुंसां पापं दहेत्क्षणात्

agninā dahyate tūlaṃ tṛṇaṃ śuṣkaṃ kṣaṇādyathā | tathā gaṃgājalasparśātpuṃsāṃ pāpaṃ dahetkṣaṇāt

Wie trockenes Baumwollflock und dürres Gras vom Feuer im Nu verbrannt werden, so wird auch durch die Berührung mit dem Wasser der Gaṅgā die Sünde des Menschen augenblicklich verzehrt.
