Shloka 53

The Origin of the Lauhitya River

and the King of Tīrthas

सुखदः सर्वतः शुद्धो मुक्तिमार्गप्रदः किल । एवं कामप्रभावं च विद्धि दुर्वारदुःसहम्

sukhadaḥ sarvataḥ śuddho muktimārgapradaḥ kila | evaṃ kāmaprabhāvaṃ ca viddhi durvāraduḥsaham

Man sagt, es schenke Glück, sei in jeder Hinsicht rein und verleihe den Weg zur Befreiung (mokṣa). Doch wisse: so ist die Macht des Begehrens (kāma) — unwiderstehlich und schwer zu ertragen.
