Brahmin Right Conduct: Morning Remembrance, Bathing, Purification, and Tarpaṇa Method

तर्पणं देवतानां च पूर्वं कृत्वा समाहितः । अधिकारी भवेत्पश्चात्पितॄणां तर्पणे बुधः

tarpaṇaṃ devatānāṃ ca pūrvaṃ kṛtvā samāhitaḥ | adhikārī bhavetpaścātpitṝṇāṃ tarpaṇe budhaḥ

Nachdem er zuerst, mit gesammeltem Geist, den Tarpaṇa (Wasserlibation) den Gottheiten dargebracht hat, wird der Weise danach rechtmäßig befähigt, den Tarpaṇa für die Ahnen (Pitṛs) zu vollziehen.
