FAQs

Vibhīṣaṇa is informed by leading Rākṣasas acting as cāras (spies/scouts), who report the arrival of Rāma with Sugrīva.

“Cāra” denotes spies or intelligence-gatherers; here it indicates that the message is a reconnaissance report about an approaching force.

It highlights the importance of timely intelligence and truthful reporting in moments of conflict, showing how events turn on accurate information delivered to decision-makers.
