Brahmā’s Puṣkara Sacrifice: Ṛtvij System, Sāvitrī’s Reconciliation, Tīrtha-Catalogue, Śrāddha & Initiation Rites, and Vrata Fruits

Concept: The foremost knower recognizes the Lord as prior to Prakṛti; though discernible within guṇa-endowed beings, His true nature is subtle even when appearing vast.

Application: Practice discernment: see the Divine presence within worldly qualities without reducing God to them; cultivate contemplative study and devotion that respects mystery.

Primary Rasa: shanta

Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A two-layered vision: in the foreground, beings woven of the three guṇas shimmer as colored threads, and within them a faint, discernible divine presence is seen. Beyond and behind, an immense yet subtle Nārāyaṇa appears as a translucent, boundless silhouette—vast like the sky, but finer than breath—standing before Prakṛti as she unfolds the cosmos like a veil.","primary_figures":["Nārāyaṇa (subtle-vast form)","personified Prakṛti (as a veiled cosmic weaver)","guṇa-formed beings (symbolic figures)"],"setting":"Abstract cosmological space: a veil/loom of Prakṛti, tri-colored guṇa currents, and a clear transcendent expanse.","lighting_mood":"divine radiance","color_palette":["translucent white","deep teal","saffron","rajas red","tamas indigo"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: Vishnu as a luminous, semi-translucent central figure with gold-leaf aura, Prakṛti depicted as a veiled goddess-weaver unfurling a patterned cosmic cloth, tri-color guṇa motifs (white/red/blue) swirling below, ornate borders and embossed gold detailing emphasizing subtle transcendence.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: Ethereal Vishnu rendered with delicate washes, Prakṛti as a graceful veiled figure holding a flowing veil that becomes the universe, fine tri-color streams for guṇas, cool atmospheric depth and refined facial features, minimalistic yet symbolic composition.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: Strong iconography—Vishnu with bold outlines and radiant halo, Prakṛti as stylized veiled form, guṇa currents as patterned bands, red/yellow/green palette with indigo accents, temple-wall symmetry and ornamental framing.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: Central subtle Vishnu medallion surrounded by concentric guṇa rings (white/red/blue) and floral-lotus borders, Prakṛti as decorative veiled motif at one side, intricate gold filigree on deep teal ground, symmetrical textile geometry."}

FAQs

It indicates transcendence: the supreme reality is not a product of material nature (Prakṛti) and exists before and beyond it, even while being knowable within the manifested world.

The verse juxtaposes immanence and transcendence: the divine may be apprehended in expansive, manifest forms, yet its essential nature remains subtle, not graspable as a merely material object.

Seek knowledge that goes beyond surface appearances: recognize the divine presence in the guṇa-filled world, but aim to understand the subtler, transcendent reality beyond material conditioning.
